New Axter Wilotekt hot melt waterproofing systems were installed across multiple roof levels to Blocks A1 and A2, including the main roofs, maintenance access roofs, access roofs and podium areas. The works included primer, reinforced hot melt waterproofing, protection membranes and high-performance Axter Hytherm XPS insulation to provide a durable and thermally efficient roof build-up. The system was designed to achieve a U-value of 0.16W/m²K to the insulated roof areas. All parapets, lift overruns, vents and upstands were fully waterproofed using Axter detailing membranes, with Hytherm MW upstand insulation installed to external perimeter details where required. Green roof areas were installed to selected roof levels, including drainage layers, filter layers, 80mm substrate and sedum blanket finishes. Ballasted roof areas were completed using 20–40mm washed ballast to provide protection and a clean, durable finish. New Axter rainwater outlets, parapet outlets, leaf guards and inspection chambers were installed throughout the roof areas to support effective drainage and allow future maintenance access. Pitch pockets were formed around service penetrations to ensure all roof details remained fully weatherproofed. Aluminium perforated retaining angles were also installed to contain the green roof and ballast areas.
